We will be sending out automatic emails to overseas research students who have applied to College with information on scholarships they may be eligible for (based on your PG1 application details).

Please use the information on this website to check you meet the scholarship eligibility criteria, and then follow the instructions in your email on how to apply for the scholarship. No separate application form should be required in addition to your PG1, although we may contact you and your supervisor if shortlisted, to provide a further statement in support of your scholarship application.

Selection will be based primarily on academic merit; we hope to notify successful applicants no later than 30th April 2010.

Santander/Abbey Scholarships 2009-10

Santander Universities have made a considerable donation to Imperial College London, following the signing of an agreement in April 2009. Part of the agreement is the provision of funding for mobility awards for Imperial College staff or students to study or conduct research in any of the following countries:

Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay or Venezuela.

A total of five awards each worth £1000 are available in 2009-10. To apply for an award, please complete an application form and send it to scholarships@imperial.ac.uk by Friday, 11th December 2009. Applicants will be notified if their application is successful by the end of December 2009.
